Serena Williams took over New York City after collecting her 15th major title at the U.S. Open on Sunday. There were walks through Central Park, morning talk show rounds, and even a reunion with Piers Morgan for CNN.

BUT HOLD UP. Serena busted out with some impromptu karaoke on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Her love of karaoke is no secret. She often tweets her karaoke sessions and admitted in Cincinnati she was dying to hit the karaoke room when she got to New York.

I was just talking to my physio today about how the first thing I do when I get to New York is I’m going to karaoke. I hadn’t karaoked in, gosh, since like February or January. I’m a karaokier; normally I karaoke every day. I haven’t been able to karaoke since February. Now I’m just overwhelmed. I have so many songs I want to sing. Venus is excellent, though. She walked in someone else’s room session and started karaoking with them. They must have been so excited.

Right now I’m in this really ’90s moment, so I’m in this whole Air Supply kind of thing, bit of Irene Cara.  Right now I’m really into Making Love Out of Nothing At All by Air Supply.  I don’t know why.  It’s really random.

Serena wasn’t kidding. She might not have been able to hit the karaoke room when she got to New York but she definitely rocked it before she left.

Watch Serena rock some Air Supply with Fallon and then do some live-band karaoke of “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. What she lacks in vocal skill she more than makes up for in performance value. Impressive work, Serena.

What do you mean, she lacks in voice skills?  She's awesome!
