Video: Stanislas Wawrinka cramps during post-semifinals press conference

There’s no question Stanislas Wawrinka left everything he had on the court after playing a four-hour match against Novak Djokovic in the U.S. Open semifinals. The Swiss No. 2, who ended Andy Murray’s title defense and then pushed Djokovic to the brink in a 2-6, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 loss, was so wiped after the match that he began to cramp during the French portion of his news conference.

Sometimes news conferences can be more grueling than the matches (not really, though). Remember when Rafael Nadal succumbed to cramps in a post-win interview in 2011?

Rafa’s “Cramp Seen ‘Round The World” went viral quickly, and even Caroline Wozniacki couldn’t help but poke a little bit of fun:

You’ll have to forgive Wawrinka for his exhaustion and dehydration. He played a fantastic 21-minute game to hold his serve against Djokovic in the fifth set, a stretch that got the crowd on its feet and even earned a standing ovation mid-game.
