The Daily Bagel is your dose of the interesting reporting, writing and quipping from around the Internet.

• Is Maria Sharapova going to wear biker shorts at the Australian Open?

• Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker will be on NBC’s Hollywood Game Night tonight at 10 p.m. ET.

• Adidas will keep Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga blue.

• Interesting quote from Tsonga on his desire to break through and win a Slam.

The Frenchman even went as far as saying that a maiden Grand Slam would be more exciting for him than another major title would be for the top four.

“Roger [Federer] now — I don’t know what he’d dream about. I dream about my first major, he’s got already 17, so what does he dream about? Or even Rafa [Nadal] or Novak [Djokovic]. They win everything. But for me it’s even more exciting than for them because I [haven’t won] a major,” he said.

• David Ferrer has split from longtime coach Javier Piles.

“This decision isn’t because of any personal or professional problem. Indeed, our personal relationship has been, is, and will continue to be very good. But, of course, after 15 years there’s been a lot of wear of tear on both our parts and we both need our space.”

“I’m bringing into my team José Francisco Altur, who will travel with me for 12 weeks of the year. The other weeks on tour I’ll travel with my physiotherapist, Rafael García, who will also work as my coach.”

• A report from the USTA Australian Open Wildcard Playoff, where Sasha Vickery and Steve Johnson won their main draw spot for the Australian Open. Vickery defeated Victoria Duval in the final, while Johnson beat Tennys Sandgren, saving a match point. (Well, Sandgren double-faulted.)

• Guillermo Olaso, a Spanish player ranked No. 236, has been banned for five years by the ITF for match-fixing. He was also fined $25,000.

• Ana Ivanovic was once offered a role in a Hollywood movie and turned it down.

• Ten questions with Vania King.

• Catching up with Andrea Petkovic in Brisbane, Australia, where she is hoping for happier memories down under.

• Speaking of Brisbane, tickets are selling like hot cakes for the Brisbane International. Not hard when it boasts a field that includes Federer, Serena Williams and Sharapova.

• Who was the best coach of 2013?

• Peter Bodo puts together his list of 2013 matches to forget.

• Li Na did a photo shoot for Cosmopolitan in China.

There is a web site showing what could be potential outfits for Serena and Maria.  Shows Maria possibly wearing shorts and a top - not a very flattering look.  Then there are dresses for Serena that resemble one she has worn before at the AO.  Not bad looking at all.

No official word yet on Sharapova's attire at the AO, but the early line is that she could be wearing basic black in the aftermath of a certain possible match-up.
