Serena Williams began her 2014 season with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Andrea Petkovic at the Brisbane International, but there are still a few kinks in her game that need to be ironed out. Up 6-3, 3-2, she completely whiffed on a put-away swing volley, eliciting gasps from the crowd and a wry smile from Petkovic.

It’s cool, Serena. Better to get it all out of your system sooner rather than later.

Very ridiculous article. First, it wasn't a put away swing volley - the ball bounced, so by definition that is not a volley. Second, she missed the ball because it bounced awkwardly near the net due to a tremendous amount of backspin on it - a lucky desperation shot by her opponent.
